Our Work
We strive in preserving
Puerto Rican culture in Houston and disseminating information,
hosting local activities and collaborating with other associations. Our biggest event of the
year (El Parrandón) is our main
fundraiser and is held in December.
APPR is also committed to giving scholarships to Hispanic students at the University of
Houston and other institutions. We want to help Hispanic
students reach their full academic
potential.
We provide support, financial assistance and a helping hand to Puerto Rican
patients and families receiving medical treatment in Houston through
our ASISTE program.
In addition, we actively sponsor and co-host events with other related organizations to help
in our fundraising efforts.
