About Us

Asociación Pro-Cultura Puertorriqueña began with the desire to unite more than 30,000 Puerto Ricans living in Houston while promoting, preserving, and educating others regarding our customs and traditions. The goals of the organization are:

  • To preserve Puerto Rican culture in Houston by disseminating information, hosting local activities and collaborating with other associations.

  • To educate Puerto Rican children in traditions, language, and Puerto Rican culture.

  • To raise the US national percentage of Hispanics with a bachelor’s degree from 12% by granting scholarships to Hispanic students at college, master or doctoral level in Houston.

  • To provide support and monetary assistance to Puerto Rican patients receiving medical treatment in Houston.
